M&P Survey Equipment have added four Mercedes-Benz Citan vans to their fleet.

The company put driver Chris Varah in a demonstrator vehicle for evaluation prior to adding them to the company.

The company is now running three Long-bodied Citan 109 CDIs and a single Extra-long variant powered by the same 90hp engine. Assigned to members of M&P’s sales team, each will cover up to 50,000 miles per year, delivering Swiss Leica Geosystems surveying equipment to customers throughout the UK.

Managing Director Les Poole said: “Leica Geosystems is the most prestigious manufacturer of surveying equipment, so we want to deliver its products in the most prestigious vans on the market. The brand images are a perfect match.

“We also demand a very high level of reliability from our vehicles because they cover high mileages and part of our promise to customers is that we’ll arrive on time. We’ve previously used larger Mercedes-Benz Vito vans to do the same work, and have found them to be extremely dependable – but the more compact Citan is even better suited to our needs.

“Fuel economy is another very important factor and the Citans are already proving to be very efficient, while dealer Road Range have provided us with a very high level of service over several years.”
