The rental management division of Leasedrive Group has secured the vehicle rental business for Imtech UK, one of the UK and Ireland’s largest technical services providers.

Leasedrive was awarded the contract following an extensive tender process managed by ERA Fleet Cost Management.

Imtech UK appointed ERAFCM to review the market on its behalf utilising ERAFCM’s market knowledge and expertise to provide the most cost-effective and efficient short-term hire supplier for the group.

ERAFCM assisted in the implementation of each business unit within Imtech UK and will provide ongoing strategic support throughout the contract term.

Jim Goodhead, group supply chain director at Imtech UK, said: "Leasedrive Group was able to demonstrate to us through financial cost modelling that it could achieve savings and efficiencies across all of our vehicle rentals."

Sean Bingham, principal consultant at ERAFCM, added: "Core to Leasedrive’s successful bid was its multi-panel supplier model, which provides comprehensive national vehicle rental coverage at market competitive rates."

Joe Howick, rental management director at the rental management division of the Leasedrive Group, said: "Imtech has a requirement for a wide range of vehicles from small city cars to large specialist vehicles. These vehicles are required for projects up and down the country and our ability to source specialist vehicles at short notice for delivery anywhere in the country was a further point in our favour."
