Fleet Alliance has achieved ISO certification for both its quality and environmental management.

In quality management, the company achieved the ISO 9001 standard, which has been implemented by over 1m organisations in more than 170 countries. The standard outlines ways to achieve and benchmark consistent quality performance and improved customer service.

By achieving ISO 9001, Fleet Alliance demonstrated that it has introduced more efficient ways of working which save time, money and resources, has improved operational performance to reduce errors and maximise profitability, and has increased its focus on delivering high-value customer service.

To achieve the standard, Fleet Alliance had to establish quality objectives and demonstrate its commitment to quality by supporting the development and continuous improvement of its quality management system. It also had to ensure that the system met the requirements of its customers and enhanced their satisfaction.

Fleet Alliance also achieved environmental management standard, ISO 14001, which is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities.

The standard maps out a framework that businesses can follow to set up an effective environmental management system, and helps them to grow while reducing the environmental impact of that growth.

The certification was granted in recognition of Fleet Alliance’s environmental achievements in reducing waste and cutting energy us, improving efficiency and lowering distribution costs.

To achieve both ISO standards, Fleet Alliance was audited by an approved external auditor before certification was granted.

Fleet Alliance managing director Martin Brown, said: “Naturally, we are delighted to have been achieved these two ISO certificates which recognize the developments we have made in these two key areas of our business.

“Customer service and quality management are two of our key watch-words and we pride ourselves on the effort, investment and commitment we have made in these areas over the years.

“The environment is also at the heart of our core values, and it was important to get our actions independently verified. The awarding of both ISO certificates is confirmation of our achievements in these crucial areas of our operations.”
