The Zenith Leasedrive Group has raised more than £3,500 for Guide Dogs (formally called the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association), which provides mobility for people who are blind and partially sighted.

David Brown (pictured), business development manager, at Leasedrive, said: “We held three fundraising days at our Wokingham, Solihull and Leeds offices throughout October. In total, we raised over £3,500 by holding a prize draw and various other events in the respective offices. Some staff from Guide Dogs also came along with dogs to give impressive presentations to staff on how they are trained to change the lives of those who have lost their sight, are partially blind and who may also have lost their hearing.

“This is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives for our customers in the charity sector. In June, a team of 17 Leasedrive riders raised over £24,500 in aid of four charities – Marie Curie Cancer Care, Macmillan Cancer Support, Mencap and Scope – in a 350-mile charity bike ride between Luxembourg and Geneva.

“Also back in June, Zenith supported several bike-themed charity and community events in the run up to the 2014 Tour de France ‘Grand Départ’ in Yorkshire, raising over £1,400 for local Leeds charities.”
