The winners of the BVRLA Industry Achievement Awards have been announced at a ceremony in the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.

Caroline Beales of Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental scored the highest pass mark in the 2013 City & Guilds exam, gaining her Rental Operator Skills certificate with a score of 96%.

Carol Kirk (pictured), group corporate fleet sales manager at Imperial Commercials was the top achiever in the Fleet Consultancy Programme exam. She scored 96%, having completed the course which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).

More than 3,000 individuals have completed the City & Guilds examinations since its inception in 1989, while over 100 salespeople have benefitted from the BVRLA’s Fleet Consultancy Programme since it was introduced in 2008.

BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney said: "Training and continuous development is vital for any industry that wants to maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service. Caroline and Carol embody these traits and the BVRLA is pleased to recognise their dedication as they are a fantastic advertisement for the industry."
