Hitachi Capital Car Solutions has signed two new customers for outsourced fleet management, while retaining two existing contracts.

Both Matchtech Group, which runs a fleet of 110 cars, and Charles Wells Group, with a fleet of 120 cars, have handed over their fleet and driver administration needs to Hitachi Capital.

Robert Wastell, divisional managing director of Hitachi Capital Car Solutions, said: “We have seen a rising trend for customers looking to outsource their car fleet management in recent months; our customers are looking to subcontract certain parts of their business operations in order to sustain output without impacting on productivity levels.

“This is where we come in, working in partnership with companies like Matchtech Group and Charles Wells to handle all driver contact and free up valuable internal HR and fleet management employees.”

Both Lavendon Group, the market leaders in rental of powered aerial work platforms, and Daily Mail and General Trust have re-signed with Hitachi Capital following a competitive tender exercise.
