Lex Autolease appoints Doug Hyett as head of new business

Lex Autolease has appointed Doug Hyett as head of new business, a newly created board-level position in which Hyett will oversee the company's business development function and take responsibility for developing new business opportunities across all sectors.   

Previously head of mega fleets at Lex Autolease, Hyett was responsible for delivering multi-disciplined fleet solutions for large private and public sector organisations. 

Hyett joined Lex Autolease 12 years ago as corporate business development director. He has more than 25 years corporate sales experience across the FMCG, transport, and hospitality sectors.   

Tim Porter, managing director at Lex Autolease, said: “Doug is a highly experienced and effective leader within the organisation who can bring such in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market to the role. With his proven track record of acquiring new and diverse business, Doug is a valuable addition to the board and will be instrumental in our growth plans.”  

Hyett said: “Companies are increasingly looking for their fleet management suppliers to provide strategic advice to help them run more efficient and productive vehicle fleets.
