Nick Andrews, head of fleet at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, will be taking up a new role as fleet and remarketing director.

In his new position, Andrews (pictured) will take a leadership role within the fleet department with the added responsibility for used cars and remarketing.

He joined Mercedes-Benz in 2011 and, along with his team, has has overseen an improvement in the brand's performance in the fleet market.

As a result, the fleet operations have been singled out for praise by the industry, most recently by Fleet News which awarded Mercedes-Benz Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer of the Year in March.

Supporting Andrews will be Sally Dennis who is promoted to Head of Fleet and, as a result, leads the team as it looks to build on the record year in 2013 which saw a 20% rise in fleet registrations to total 50,573 cars.

Nick said: "I’m looking forward to taking on my new responsibilities and can’t wait to get started.

"My focus remains on our simple aim to make Mercedes-Benz the best, most approachable and easiest car company to do business with in the market. Be it a new or a used car, we want to deliver a benchmark service.

"I’ve got an amazing team around me who I know will continue to deliver great results, as we did last year. In moving into this role, it allows Sally Dennis to be recognised for her hard work in the transformation in customer engagement which has led to the significant results we are seeing today.  With Sally in charge I know fleet are in safe hands and will continue to thrive."
