Jaama is hosting two more of its popular one-day ‘Fleet Management Essentials’ seminars at its Tamworth head office on Thursday, September 18 and Thursday, November 13.

Autumn 2014 seminars will focus on a wide range of fleet management issues including:

  • Fuel cost management
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) compliance
  • Changes to company car benefit-in-kind taxation up to 2018/19
  • Issues around the forthcoming abolition of the requirement for the paper tax disc to be displayed in vehicle windscreens
  • The late last year introduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Directors’ Reports) Regulations 2013 and the forthcoming Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) audit requirement

Other topics in the spotlight will include key performance indicators to measure to ensure optimum fleet efficiency and effectiveness, grey fleet management, car salary sacrifice schemes, employee driving licence checking and reducing the administrative burden of fleet management through technology.

Ellie Whiten, marketing manager at Jaama, said: “Our seminar programme has proved very popular over the years with around 1,000 people attending. Undoubtedly the seminars help fleet decision-makers run an effective, efficient and legal fleet of vehicles and drivers and also provide guidance on cost saving opportunities.

“The seminars are particularly attractive to administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles, as well as fleet professionals who require an update on new legislation and a refresher on best practice and new developments in managing a fleet of vehicles.”

Seminars start with registration at 9.30am and conclude with an open question and answer session from 4.30pm.

Seminar prices have once again been held at the reduced price of £295 + VAT per delegate including all course documentation, policies (usually priced at £120), lunch and refreshments.

To book a place, contact Ellie Whiten or Jon Davis at Jaama on 0844 8484 333 option 6.

Extra seminars may be added to those already announced and further events will be in 2015.
