Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) has appointed Albert van den Bergh as joint managing director, working alongside Graham Wheeler.

Van den Bergh replaces Lisa Stacey who is returning to the post of joint managing director in VWFS Australia, after three successful years in the UK.

Van den Bergh has more than 26 years experience in the automotive finance sector, including 10 years working for the Dutch Financial Services joint venture, formed jointly by the private importer Pon and VWFS.

Over his tenure, the Dutch VWFS division grew from 250 to 450 FTE’s which subsequently delivered an increase to the balance sheet totaling €2.8 billion.

Prior to that, Van den Bergh worked for 12 years with KPMG as a chartered accountant.
