Motor insurer ERS has appointed National Windscreens as its approved vehicle glass repair and replacement supplement.

ERS provides insurance for a wide range of vehicles including private cars, classic cars, vans, motorcycles, taxis, minibuses, fleets, haulage and agricultural vehicles, and therefore required a glazing supplier with the capability of handling a diverse array of vehicle glazing on a national scale.

Rob Harper, commercial manager, at ERS, who led the tender, said: “National Windscreens specialism in non-standard glass provision is unrivalled and we feel they are a natural fit for ERS’ broad book of business.

“The decision has also been made in response to broker feedback. A key reason National Windscreens won the contract was that it was able to demonstrate a market leading response time and service proposition. Both are absolutely vital for our customers, especially where working vehicles being off the road can cost policyholders’ time and money.”

National Windscreens commercial director Pete Marsden said: “We very much look forward to working with ERS and we’re very pleased that we were seen as the natural fit to manage the glass claims from 2015 onwards.

“We recognise that brokers are at the core of the ERS business and we eagerly await the opportunity to build on our existing relationships with many of them and deliver an enhanced customer experience.”
