Specialist recruitment business McGinley Support Services has launched a reward scheme to encourage safe driving within its fleet.

The ‘drive safe’ scheme recognises and rewards drivers within the McGinley fleet of more than 400 minibuses, vans and cars who perform above the desired safety standard.

Prizes include large screen televisions, track day experiences and laptops, and winners are drawn on a monthly and annual basis.

The scheme is underpinned by FMG’s Ingenium Dynamics driver behaviour telemetry and incident prevention service, which focuses on reducing the frequency of motor incidents through improving driver behaviour.

Ingenium Dynamics monitors a driver’s behaviour, focussing on speed, braking, cornering and idling, and issues a score at the end of every journey.

McGinley drivers must achieve an average score of 80% or more and travel more than 1,000 miles in the month period to be eligible for the ‘drive safe’ draw.

Andy Saunders, fleet manager at McGinley Support Services, said: “Driver and passenger safety is at the heart of everything we do and we’ve been very impressed with the way our drivers have adopted Ingenium Dynamics.

"We like to reward excellence and the ‘drive safe’ scheme seemed like a logical next step to acknowledge safe driving and reinforce our resolute commitment to driver safety.”
