Accident aftercare specialist AX has ordered more than 500 BMWs and Minis to bolster its pool of replacement vehicles at its UK depots.

As well as adopting many new BMW 1, 2 and 3 Series models and 25 Minis, more than a quarter (28%) of the vehicles on order will be electrified vehicles, with either fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrains including BMW i4BMW i5BMW iX1 and BMW iX2 models.

Dan Cripps, fleet and logistics director at AX, said: “The focal point of our business has always been customer service, that is what has enabled us to thrive and will continue to underpin our operations through both our AX and Motor Assist brands.

“With this purchase of hundreds of superb BMW models, we are ensuring that our partners and their drivers will receive the absolute best and most appropriate replacement vehicles in a timely manner.

“It is a real privilege to collaborate with BMW and we are pleased to have such a stable foundation as a business which allows us to add to our fleet to deliver even better customer service.”

Cripps added that AX has taken “huge strides” to electrify its own company car fleet, minimising its environmental impact for the “long term”.

He concluded: “We have made a concerted effort to establish a robust ESG (environmental, social, and governance) policy and by adopting more EVs, it represents another step towards greater sustainability.”
