Trak Global will incentivise its drivers during National Road Safety Week (November 20-26) to encourage a commitment to road safety.

Trak Global will use its Appy Fleet to record journey data and reward high scoring drivers over the week.

For every journey of more than 10 miles achieving a ‘perfect 10’ driver score, Trak Global will donate £10 to charities including former Prince Michael International Road Safety Award winner UK Youth.

And the best-performing organisation and its best-performing drivers (up to 10) will win a F1-style VIP karting experience.

Appy Fleet’s safer driving app director Andrew Brown-Allan said: “30% of all UK road accidents involved someone driving for business.”

Companies are advised to sign up for the perfect 10 challenge by November 10 and invite their drivers to take part.

Then all your drivers need to do is drive safely during Road Safety Week, and the company will reveal who the best drivers are on November 27.

Brown-Allan said: “Applications are through our dedicated landing page, where each organisation can register to enter the competition.

“They will then receive an information pack and simple instructions on how their drivers can download our Appy Fleet app to their smartphone.

“The app uses telematics to score how people drive, and for every journey on Appy Fleet of over 10 miles that scores a perfect 10, we will donate £10 to charity, up to £10K.”

In addition, the best performing fleet wins an F-1 style VIP karting experience for ten of their drivers.

Participating teams need to register on the landing page by November 10 to take part, where the full terms and conditions are set out.

The Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards’ director Adrian Walsh said: “Appy Fleet is a great example of how new technology can identify the best, and most dangerous, business driving in real time.

"Better driving not only reduces accidents but it is cost effective too, as better drivers use less fuel and cost less to insure.”
