Andy Crinson has joined Trak Global Group (TGG) as head of UK rental sales.

He will report to Alan Cottrill and spearhead the Cheshire-based technology group’s plans to build on its position as a leading provider of telematics to the rental and fleet markets.

Andrew Brown-Allan, sales and marketing director for Trak Global, said one of Crinson’s priorities will be to increase the take-up of Trak Global’s Appy Fleet telematics app, which was launched late last year to bring safe driving behaviour to business drivers.

Crinson will also support the group’s continued sales growth in the provision of telematics black boxes in the UK. Trak Global is now the world’s seventh biggest telematics company.

Brown-Allan said: “In the UK, one in three road accidents involves someone driving for business. Appy Fleet, which is free to download anywhere in the world, turns each employee’s smartphone into an accurate GPS data-gathering device, which also provides driver ID.

“Our fleet and rental products together add up to a compelling proposition for clients across the market, and I am delighted to welcome Andy to the Trak Global team.”

Crinson joins Trak Global from AMT Vehicle Rental, where he fulfilled a number of senior roles between 2014-2016, including general manager with responsibility for UK operations. Prior to AMT, he spent seven years (2007-2014) in senior sales roles at AI Claims Solutions.
