Derbyshire County Council will use Chevin Fleet Solution’s FleetWave to improve fleet and workshop efficiency.

The Council has a fleet of 1,400 vehicles, 800 of which are corporately owned, with an additional 600 maintained on behalf of other organisations. FleetWave will be used to manage entire vehicle lifecycles.

Fleetwave was chosen to replace an out-dated fleet management system. Derbyshire’s procurement manager was looking for “an internally hosted fleet and workshop management solution, with associated support services” to efficiently manage its fleet.

Chevin’s global sales and marketing director David Gladding said: “FleetWave’s comprehensive capabilities will be used to automate and streamline a large number of manual and labor-intensive processes at Derbyshire County Council, to effectively manage the entire lifecycles of each vehicle and asset within its fleet.

“We are pleased to be able to help Derbyshire County Council meet its fleet management needs.”

Once implemented, FleetWave will be used to support 70 system users based across five different sites, located in both back office environments and workshops, and will be integrated with its finance system, SAP.
