Fleet Trak, a gold rated reseller of TomTom Telematics, has partnered with The Driving Doctor to provide driver behaviour software to its blue-chip customer base.

Fleet Trak are the “largest reseller” for TomTom Telematics and also supply fleet management consultancy and CCTV systems.

This partnership enables Fleet Trak to sell The Driving Doctor’s driver behaviour methodology and coaching proposition.

The Driving Doctor’s chief executive Paul Ripley (pictured) said: “Fleet Trak will now be able to provide extensive safer driving benefits to their own blue-chip client base, together with operational advantages and efficiencies.”

The Driving Doctor’s software system harvests data captured by TomTom’s vehicle telematics hardware. It then interprets this information through an IT platform and via digital channels, and provides each driver with a supply of evidence-based practical safer driving advice, feedback and personal coaching.

It also measures and scores driver engagement.

Fleet Trak‘s managing director Sean Malone said: “The Driving Doctor technology is the missing link to driver improvement and will help amalgamate our portfolio of products.

"One-to-one driver training has its place but unless the results are monitored on a regular basis, the driver can easily slip back into bad habits, increasing the risk, reducing efficiency and eroding its cost-effectiveness.

"The Driving Doctor ticks all of these boxes and more as the coaching is constant and based on real-time driver data. Exciting times ahead!”
