TomTom Telematics is to offer The Driving Doctor’s driver behaviour solution to its customers and resellers, with immediate effect.

The alliance is expected to help both companies generate new business opportunities in the fleet and insurance sectors.

The Driving Doctor’s SaaS (software as a service) product utilises driver behaviour data from OptiDrive 360, a feature of the TomTom Telematics Webfleet fleet management platform, to help drivers improve their performance behind the wheel.

TomTom Telematics’ sales director Beverley Wise (pictured) said: “We are excited to create this offering with The Driving Doctor and bring this great value-added product to our current customers and resellers.

"This will generate an innovative and valuable proposition to move forward collectively into the insurance and fleet market sectors.”

The Driving Doctor’s chief executive Paul Ripley said: “We are equally excited by this extended relationship with TomTom Telematics.

“Our innovative driver behaviour software product can now be promoted with the added benefit of TomTom Telematics’ support and market extension.

“This alliance brings together two leading and best practice companies, both employing telematics as an integral part of their risk management and safer driving behaviour strategies."
