The deadline for fleet operators to enter the 2022 Fleet News Awards is today (November 26).

This is your chance to follow in the footsteps of British Gas’s Steve Winter, the 2021 Fleet News fleet manager of the year, who said: “Any award is a nice recognition of the work that you, your team or your business undertake, but to get it from Fleet News is a clear validation and recognition from industry experts of your achievements.”

Or Fraser Crichton, corporate fleet operations manager at Dundee City Council, winner of the environmental innovation award, who said: “It is wonderful to be acknowledged for our innovative EV strategy by a transport industry leader such as Fleet News.”

Like them, you can boost your business credibility, as well as your own careers and staff motivation. All it takes is half an hour of your time!

Being a fleet finalist, for example, is about more than a pat on the back for the fleet decision-maker; it’s about raising the profile of the company brand with existing and potential customers.

Matt Hammond, M Group head of fleet – highly commended for fleet manager of the year, said: “Having been fortunate enough to be recognised at the awards with a highly commended in one of the headline categories is a huge confidence boost as well as giving acknowledgment of the professionalism I have tried to bring to my role within the industry.

"Being nominated for any of the Fleet News awards is a great way of raising your company profile and showcasing the work done within the industry.”

Kevin Brooker, IT systems & fleet, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority - highly commended for fleet manager of the year, added: “We were delighted to be highly commended at the Fleet News Awards. The award aptly recognises the hard work of staff who have modernised transportation for the organisation and will take pride of place in our offices.”

Organisations who take seriously their fleet safety and environmental obligations are ideally placed to win business – these things matter to your customers.

Audited by Brian Cooper of EY and chaired by Christopher Macgowan OBE, the Fleet News Awards has the credentials and credibility to make entering worthwhile.
