Company Car In Action 2018

Alongside the chance to sample more than 300 of the latest and greatest new cars, visitors to Company Car In Action will be able to learn about switching to low emission and electric vehicles from a host of experts.

Interactive debates will take place on both days (June 12 and 13), giving insight into key topics.

On day one the debate will focus on running a low emission fleet. It will look at how fleets can adopt electric vehicles, what factors they need to consider and hear about practical experiences.

The confirmed speakers are:

  • Phil Eaves, director of supply chain at Farmdrop, the 2018 Fleet News Green Fleet of the Year
  • Lorna McAtear, head of supply and internal accounts at Royal Mail
  • Ben Wicks, senior campaigns manager at Go Ultra Low

On day two the debates will look at the financial support offered to fleets looking to add EVs to their operations.

It will also cover the benefits to drivers, from reduced taxation and the whole life cost advantages.

The confirmed speakers are:

  • Karl Anders, national EV manager at Nissan
  • David Watts, consultant at Arval
  • Ben Wicks, senior campaigns manager at Go Ultra Low

Both debates take place at 10:30AM.

EV and Hybrid Zone

In addition to the debates, fleet decision makers at CCIA will be able to visit the EV/Hybrid Zone at CCIA where some of the latest alternative fuel vehicles will be on display.

The new Nissan Leaf will be on display and available to drive at the event. It has a range of more than 230 miles with prices from £21,990.

Jaguar will also have a range of all-new I-Pace models available to test, its new luxury crossover with a range of 300 miles.

In addition, a range of hybrid and plug-in hybrid models from Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Volvo and Kia will be available to sample.

It will be manned by experts from GoUltraLow and is sponsored by Chargemaster, who can provide information and support on charging infrastructure.
