Venson Automotive Solutions and EO Charging are partnering to launch an electric vehicle (EV) package, CleanFleet, at Fleet Management Live, which is currently taking place at the NEC, Birmingham.

CleanFleet is a four-part service designed to help businesses and fleet managers operating more than 50 vehicles to make the transition to greener vehicles "with greater confidence and accountability".

It uses a GPS plug-in to help determine which vehicles (EV, hybrid or petrol/diesel) are suitable for which journeys. With the data CleanFleet collects, it then proposes suitable vehicles available through Venson Automotive Solutions, providing a cost analysis of electric versus the current vehicles used. CleanFleet then maps relevant publicly available sites and delivers site surveys for work and home locations. Finally, CleanFleet presents fleet operators with a  solution that delivers a finance plan, charging infrastructure (with installation services from The Phoenix Works) and a choice of practical vehicles.

Alison Bell, marketing director of Venson Automotive Solutions, said: “We are proud to be the first leasing provider to work with EO Charging on CleanFleet. Venson is committed to promoting greener fleets and helping businesses make the shift to electric and hybrid vehicles. Together we aim to help more businesses reduce the cost of their fleet and focus on operating a cleaner, greener fleet.”

Charlie Jardine, CEO of EO Charging, added: “Through this partnership, CleanFleet benefits from Venson’s fleet management expertise, ensuring clients get the best match of vehicles for their business.

“The perception of electric and hybrid vehicles is that they are too expensive with a limited range. However, the technology has developed very quickly, so this isn’t the case anymore.

"But we do understand that electric vehicles aren’t suitable for every business. CleanFleet was established to help fleet managers find the right vehicles for their business by comparing their current fleet to the potential benefits of alternative fuel fleets. We believe that simplicity is critical to the success of CleanFleet, which is why we are working with experts in the field, such as Venson, to make greener fleet management more accessible and affordable than ever.”
