SME-focused leasing broker and fleet management business, Fleet Alliance, has been acquired by Global Vehicle Group (GVG) for an undisclosed sum.
The Glasgow-based business joins other GVG companies – Global Vans, XLCR and LCV Group – to create a diverse offering from the B2B leasing broker.
An annual combined volume of around 18,000 units is expected, with an aggregate fleet size of more than 70,000 vehicles and a total funded value of more than £2.5 billion.
Each business will continue to operate independently with their own management teams and brand identities.
Andrew Hurst, CEO of Global Vehicle Group, said: “We are immensely proud to welcome Fleet Alliance into the Global Vehicle Group.
“Fleet Alliance’s core area of expertise in the SME and larger corporate space will give GVG complete coverage of the B2B sector and will complement the existing group businesses perfectly.
“Whilst each business shares the same philosophy of creating a positive and supportive team culture and a focus on outstanding customer experience, there will be significant areas where the power of the enlarged group can be leveraged in terms of best practice and providing a wider range of products and services to our customers.”
Global Vans, which was founded in 2002, has its head office in Bristol with other offices in Hemel Hempstead and Cardiff.
Martin Brown (pictured), chair of Fleet Alliance, said: “We are delighted to become part of the Global Vehicle Group family.
“We have the utmost respect for Global Vans, XLCR and the LCV Group and we look forward to working alongside them to continue the development of the Fleet Alliance business as part of the largest B2B focused leasing broker in the UK.”
GVG acquired XLCR Vehicle Management in December 2023, which was founded in 2000 and has offices in Colne and Plymouth.
XLCR is a car and van broker business led by Lee Duerden and Shaun O’Neill that uses its proprietary technology to offer outstanding car and van deals whilst being highly focused on delivering first class customer service and customer retention.
The LCV Group was acquired in late January 2025 from the founder Rod Lloyd and it specialises in the light commercial vehicle sector in a complementary way to Global Vans.
Based in Swansea, LCV Group also provide leasing and flexible hire products across cars as well as vans.
Fleet Alliance was founded in 2002 by Allen and Marjory Flynn and current chair Martin Brown.
It recently closed its Intelligent Car Leasing brand, which specialised in consumer leasing, to focus efforts on its core B2B channels.
