Lex Autolease has launched a new driver website to help company car drivers select and manage their vehicles.

The UK’s largest fleet management company developed the online tool after undertaking research which revealed that drivers wanted a comprehensive and accessible solution to help them make more informed choices about their vehicle.

The Lex Autolease Driver Portal is accessible from PCs, smartphones or tablets, and features an extensive range of tools designed to help those drivers looking for a new company car to make the right choice.

These tools include a holistic view of costs such as benefit-in-kind tax, personal use contribution/trade down and fuel.

Values for these and other parameters can be displayed monthly, annually or over the contract length, helping to show drivers how seemingly small differences in rentals, fuel costs or emissions can potentially add up over the course of a three- or four-year contract.

Drivers can also use the driver portal to book services, repairs or arrange for replacement tyres.

Christian Hook, e-commerce manager at Lex Autolease, said: "Our aim has been to create a website that provides drivers with a similar experience to other consumer websites they may use on a regular basis such as Amazon, eBay and those operated by high street retailers.

“We understand that drivers have differing requirements and the factors influencing their choice of vehicle varies considerably. The driver portal is designed to help drivers make an informed choice and find the vehicle that best suits their personal needs."
