People wanting to attend the inaugural Fleet Management LIVE can now register for the definitive event for key company car decision-makers.

Over two days, the NEC in Birmingham will host the UK’s largest event for professionals with corporate responsibility for fleet, be they fleet managers, HR, finance or procurement executives.

It will tackle the issues facing small and large fleets alike, and will offer practical guidance on how to improve efficiency, lower costs and meet current legislation.

And to make Fleet Management LIVE even more relevant to professionals whose primary role isn’t fleet, Fleet Management LIVE has partnered with magazines Director of Finance, HR Grapevine, and Talk Business.

Calum Di Lieto, editor and head of content at HR Grapevine, stressed the importance of the event to his readers.

He said: “Fleet management is more relevant to HR than people realise. There are a number of issues that HR needs to address, which are constantly changing as new legislation and technology develops.

"It is important then that HR professionals keep on top of these changes by doing their best to stay ahead of any issues before they result in substantial financial and legal costs.”

Louise Naughton, managing editor of Director of Finance, added: “Many finance professionals find themselves responsible for fleet and need to understand the technology and finance options available to help them improve efficiency, reduce costs yet be compliant with legislation.

"We see Fleet Management LIVE as great opportunity for our readers to get a better understanding of all aspects of fleet management in just one day.”

Luke Garner, editor of Talk Business Magazine, said: “With the millions of miles that drivers traverse in the name of business each year, there are also millions of options for fleet management too, and it can be a quagmire to explore.

"With expert advice, best practice tips, and all the information you could possibly desire, Fleet Management LIVE is a must for any SME looking to succeed and grow.”

Fleet Management LIVE will encompass:

  • Exhibitions – featuring more than 80 companies including manufacturers, leasing and national fleet suppliers, and technology providers
  • Best practice workshops – for fleet operators to gain intelligence and insight
  • Seminars – with topic-led streams in the Fleet Insight theatre
  • Free-to-attend sessions – for professionals with responsibility for fleets but who are not dedicated fleet managers, such as HR, finance, procurement and facilities management executives
  • Networking – through drinks receptions, lounge and dedicated events
  • A daily Fleet News debate which is open to all
  • One-to-one advice sessions at The Legal Clinic and The Fuel Clinic
  • Pre-booked meetings for buyers and suppliers

John Pryor, chairman of ACFO, said: “We are really excited to be a partner at Fleet Management LIVE. It promises to be to a unique event with a good mix of workshops, exhibitions and discussions.”

Kay Saunders, of Volvo Car UK which will be exhibiting at the event, added: “Other shows have long existed to provide the opportunity for driving like Company Car in Action.

"This one brings us the opportunity for conversations in quite a different way, along with the breadth of suppliers to a multi-faceted industry, thereby creating the draw for today’s fleet decision-maker.”

Hetal Shah, Head of Go Ultra Low, added: “The business case for choosing ultra-low emission vehicles has never been stronger – with more than 30 types available offering a range of unique benefits.

"At Fleet Management Live, we’ll be sharing best-practice and education on how to get the most out of running a low emission fleet.”

As one of the Best Practice Seminar partners, Dave Bowen, managing director of BT Fleet, concluded: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with Fleet News again and are excited about the format for this year’s Fleet Management LIVE – I’m confident it will give us an excellent platform to showcase our expertise.”
