The Crown Commercial Service government procurement framework has launched new agreements for vehicle hire and car sharing.
The new agreements will give government and public sector organisations access to a wide range of vehicles including passenger vehicles, off road 4x4s, minibuses and heavy goods vehicles.
The car sharing option gives customers access to a shared fleet of vehicles, along with pay as you go models.
The agreement, which is anticipated to save customers over £19 million, offers a choice of 12 suppliers across six 'lots':
- UK vehicle hire
- UK 4x4 hire
- UK minibus hire
- HGV hire
- UK car sharing
- International vehicle hire
Suppliers on the framework include Arnold Clark, Avis Budget, Co-Wheels, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Europcar, Hertz, Hitachi Capital, Nexus, Ryder, SHB Hire, Sixt and Thrifty.
