Crown Commercial Service framework extends to vehicle rental and car sharing

fleet cars

The Crown Commercial Service government procurement framework has launched new agreements for vehicle hire and car sharing.

The new agreements will give government and public sector organisations access to a wide range of vehicles including passenger vehicles, off road 4x4s, minibuses and heavy goods vehicles.

The car sharing option gives customers access to a shared fleet of vehicles, along with pay as you go models.

The agreement, which is anticipated to save customers over £19 million, offers a choice of 12 suppliers across six 'lots':

  • UK vehicle hire
  • UK 4x4 hire
  • UK minibus hire
  • HGV hire
  • UK car sharing
  • International vehicle hire

Suppliers on the framework include Arnold Clark, Avis Budget, Co-Wheels, Enterprise Rent-A-Car,  Europcar, Hertz, Hitachi Capital, Nexus, Ryder, SHB Hire, Sixt and Thrifty.
