Independent electric vehicle charge point installer Elm EV is aiming to raise £210,015 investment through its first crowd funding campaign.

The company would use the investment to develop its own unique charge point for UK and international markets, while allowing investors to own shares in the company.

The investment would also be used to employ a sales team specialising in both the private and public sector, and to aid the marketing budget for a national marketing campaign.

Anthony Piggott, technical director for Elm EV, said: “The growth of the ultra-low emission vehicle industry is phenomenal and we are in a great position.

"This is a one-off opportunity for members of the public, enthusiasts and investors to help build the EV charging infrastructure and to be a part of the fast-paced industry, reaping the rewards.”

Elm EV works with Nissan GB to supply and install charging equipment for itscommercial customer base and is one of the NHS’s main suppliers of charging equipment.
