Fleet Evolution offers winter tyre package to salary sacrifice customers

Fleet Evolution is offering a winter tyres bolt-on package to its salary sacrifice customers from £5 per month.

The company says winter tyres have already proved incredibly popular with many of its existing clients.

The tyres use a softer rubber compound than summer or all-weather tyres, and the surface of the tread blocks is covered with jagged slits called sipes.

Deeper tread grooves provide more grip in conditions where there might be snow, ice or slush on the roads.

The tyres are built to be very effective in conditions below 7 degrees Celsius.

Andrew Leech, managing director of Fleet Evolution, said: “Winter tyres are a great add-on for companies offering salary sacrifice schemes.

"From the employee’s point of view, they improve safety on the roads and show that their boss is attuned to issues surrounding their wellbeing.

"For employers, it means fleets spend more time on the roads, rather than being held up by poor conditions or even losing staff through injuries sustained in accidents.”

I would like to see a full breakdown of the "from £5". With the introduction of the Michelin Cross Climate I don't see the need for Cold Weather tyres. Also being a salary sacrifice vehicle most wont see the benefit due to the low term and mileage.
