More than 20 brands are already signed up for Company Car in Action 2016 on June 14-15, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Company Car in Action, held at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, will offer fleet decision makers access to an unrivalled range of vehicles to test, and for some, the first opportunity to see and drive them in the UK.

Millbrook Proving Ground has a long history of being used to develop new cars and vans. Unlike a racing circuit, its purpose built for assessing road vehicles in realistic situations, offering different types of driving environments on site and ideal for testing them back-to-back.

Attendees will be able to sample the latest cars and vans in unaccompanied drives – without the need to be chaperoned by an instructor or expert – on one of four different circuits.

The Hill Route is perfect for testing steering, responses, cornering grip, in-gear acceleration and body control.

The High-speed Bowl allows drivers to travel at up to 75mph in a safe environment, ideal for assessing comfort at speed, including noise intrusion from the engine, wind and tyres.

The City Route replicates low-speed challenges, such as sight turns and can be used to carry out parking manoeuvres without holding up traffic.

The Off-road Route is open to 4x4s and includes a number of different surfaces and obstacles the get a true feel for a vehicle’s all-terrain ability.

The premier driving event for fleets in the UK, Company Car In Action also offers a chance to get involved with and better understand the big topics of the day in the Great Debates, as well as enhancing knowledge of other fleet suppliers with exhibitor stands.

The debate on the first day of Company Car In Action (June 14) will be in partnership with ACFO, and discuss issues surrounding parking fines and how to reduce the administrative burden and cost for businesses and how leasing companies could play a role in helping fleets resolve these issues.

The second day (June 15) will cover issues relating to the benefits and problems of businesses managing aspects of their fleets in-house versus outsourcing, as well as helping attendees decide what would be a better fit for their organisation.

Combined with the enormous networking opportunity of hundreds of fleet managers visiting each day, Company Car In Action continues to cement its position as the most useful driving event on the fleet calendar.
