Aston Barclay has appointed David Case as its group systems manager in a newly-created role aimed at allowing the group to streamline the future development of digital services.

Following the introduction of a new core operational system that runs all internal and external customer supplier systems, Case will manage and co-ordinate the ongoing development of Aston Barclay’s IT operations.

This includes a recently-relaunched website, Live online bidding service, the new inspection app developed with Cap HPI and the enhanced infrastructure to handle increasing amounts of data and all third-party processes with existing software.

Case brings more than 15 years of experience in the automotive sector – including work with fleets, OEMs and dealer groups – alongside stints in the insurance and technology industries.

He will work with stakeholders to develop bespoke programmes, integrations and services, as well as help direct the development of new digital products.

Glenn Scarborough, managing director at Aston Barclay, said: “Technology is key in our industry to continue to provide an exceptional service for our customers. By having David on board, we can effectively maximise the potential of our growing number of systems, while helping to drive new opportunities for growth."
