Autohorn Fleet Services buys 2,000th car from York Volvo dealership

Autohorn

York-based vehicle hire and lease specialist Autohorn Fleet Services has purchased its 2,000th car from Volvo dealership Ray Chapman Motors.

Autohorn has been buying Volvo vehicles from the dealership on York Business Park for customers across their range of vehicle hire and leasing businesses since 2008.

Lee Underwood, managing director at Autohorn Fleet Services, said: “It is a fantastic milestone to have purchased our 2,000th Volvo from Ray Chapman Motors.

"A large part of our success comes from the strong relationships we build with our suppliers, our team and our clients.

"As well as supporting a local business, we know that the vehicles are safe, reliable and popular with our customers and because they give us such good service, it means we can in turn provide excellent service for our customers.”

Autohorn has submitted a planning application to create a car storage facility and new offices at a disused airfield near Clifton Moor in York.

Its plans include expanding its fleet from 2,000 to 3,500 vehicles by 2020 and taking on between 25 and 40 new staff across the business.
