Software Europe has partnered with Licence Check, an official DVLA driving licence checking provider, to offer checking services through its Expenses cloud technology product.

This is a configurable, fully-mobilised employee expenses solution designed to reduce time and costs and increase productivity amongst payroll and finance teams.

Deborah Saunby, chief sales officer at Software Europe, said: "Driving is considered to be one of the most dangerous activities for employees to undertake for work purposes and, worryingly, many UK businesses don’t realise they could be at risk of legal action if they haven’t checked an employee is safe and legally allowed to drive for work purposes.

“Ensuring employees remain safe is a key task for line managers through to the heads of business so we’re really pleased to be working with Licence Check to help improve the safety of grey fleet drivers.”

The Licence Check service enables organisations to actively manage driving licence eligibility ensuring driver risk is reduced and compliancy assured. The service provided through Software Europe’s Expenses cloud technology includes:

  • Checking drivers have the correct category entitlement and eligibility to drive
  • Automatically scheduled rechecks
  • Three-year employee consent period
  • Dynamic monitoring for ‘at risk’ drivers
  • Comprehensive notifications, warning and detailed reporting.
