World famous department store Harrods has launched a Tusker car salary sacrifice scheme for its employees.

Staff at the flagship store in Knightsbridge, offices in London and Thatcham, as well as the smaller airport concessions, are able to join the scheme.

Gillian Round, benefits, recognition and engagement impact manager, said: “When our head of employee experience, Niall Ryan-Jones, began to look into employee engagement, he found that benefits across the business had stagnated. There was nothing of interest for many of our employees.”

He identified the car benefit scheme as an opportunity to provide a tangible, highly sought-after benefit for employees, as part of a wider overhaul of the offering. It was for this reason that Harrods decided to implement the scheme.

Launching the scheme with a competition to win a Smart car meant the benefits scheme instantly attracted a huge amount of attention from employees across the business.

Round said: “We were looking to raise awareness of the car benefit scheme and the other benefits we were launching and this seemed like a great way to drive traffic to our benefits app.”

Tusker’s COO Paul Gilshan added: “We’re delighted to have launched our Car Benefit Scheme with Harrods. As an iconic brand, they aim to bring the best benefits to their staff and Tusker is proud to be part of that package.”
