CD Salvage Auction celebrates record January sales figures

Andy Brown CD Auction Group

CD Salvage Auction has seen a record number of vehicles sold in January, marking the best sales for that month in 20 years.

The business recently rebranded from Hudson Kapel Auctions, saw an increase in sales of over 12% on its previous best sales month in the company’s 20-year history in the first month of 2018.

The business remarkets total loss salvage, accident damage-repairable, mechanical failure beyond economical repair vehicles and MOT failures on behalf of the UK's major rental and leasing companies.

CD Salvage Auction is now able to leverage CD Auction Group’s buyer network, which extends into Scotland and the Republic of Ireland, into the rebranded salvage business.

CD Auction Group’s managing director Andy Brown (pictured) said: “When our business was acquired by Arctos Holdings in September 2017, we knew that there would be synergies and opportunities to provide our buyers with complementary added values services, January’s record sales for CD Salvage Auction is a demonstration that our initial assessment was correct.

“Although we have sold non-runner vehicles for our existing vendors before the addition of the salvage arm has given our customers an additional route to market for the vehicles that may have struggled through our traditional online remarketing route.

“There is still more work to be done to integrate the two businesses but it’s good to see the initial actions reap positive rewards.

"We’ve been able to build on everything that is good about Hudson Kapel, like the established and trusted auction process and add the unique qualities of CD Auction, to provide the expanded buyer network vehicles using the most appropriate auction format.”
