New mobility concepts and systems will be central to Fleet Live, the biggest and most important exhibition and conference in the UK fleet calendar.

By linking public transport with ride-hailing, car-sharing and bike-hire, along with taxis, car hire and lease cars, Mobility as a Service providers aim to identify and deliver the most appropriate means of transport for each journey, paid for by a single payment rather than multiple tickets.

The first UK MaaS service, called Whim, has already launched in the West Midlands, offering unlimited access to public transport, taxis or a hire car depending on the customer’s daily need. At £349 per month it is highly competitive against the cost of a typical lease car.

A roster of expert speakers at Fleet Live, including Piia Karjalainen (pictured below), senior manager for MaaS Alliance, will provide specialist insights into the opportunities presented by new mobility solutions and identify how connected vehicles will revolutionise the way businesses operate fleets.

Fleet Live takes place on 9-10 October, 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham. Entry is free to fleet managers. For more details, see www.fleet-live.co.uk.
