Fix Auto UK has announced that it has taken ownership of its own repair shop by acquiring a majority share of Fix Auto Goole.

The six-figure capital sum will be invested directly back into the business which will continue to be managed by founders, husband and wife duo Andy and Lisa Kirk. The move accelerates their ambitious business plans to further grow and develop the established centre.

Fix Auto UK’s director Ian Pugh said: “Fundamentally, Fix Auto UK helps and guides our franchisees. By taking a majority share in Fix Auto Goole we are taking our whole offering to new level never experienced before by the network.

“Andy and Lisa have a great desire to succeed and are passionate about taking their business further but they needed capital. After many discussions we realised there was a great opportunity staring straight back at us and it became obvious to invest ourselves.

“I want to harness true entrepreneurship. Acquiring a majority share of Fix Auto Goole ensures Andy and Lisa are very much still in control but now have greater capital to expand and develop the business.

"Together, we can increase the service capabilities of the business, which will not only be a positive move for ourselves but also one for our clients and, of course, further strengthens the network which is always paramount to me.”

Pugh said: “We have long wanted our own repair centre where we can work closely with suppliers to develop a training and development academy, a venue where we can use as a test bed for new innovations, processes and working practices. Taking over a majority share of Fix Auto Goole will enable us to do just that.”

Fix Auto's founder Andy Kirk said: “While Lisa and I believed joining Fix Auto UK would be a great move for our business when we joined 12 months ago, we never envisaged we would become partners.

“We have huge plans for the business and have total belief in not only our own drive and ambition, but that of the team around us. With Fix Auto UK’s investment and the team as partners, we can move the business forward. It’s hugely exciting.”
