Fleet management software provider FleetCheck has achieved the ISO 27001 information security standard.

The internationally-recognised standard specifies and audits processes that are intended to bring information security under clear and unambiguous management control.

Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said: “The nature of the services we provide, which quite often include personal details and other sensitive data, means that information security is a subject that we take very seriously.

“Over the last year especially, we have been increasingly working with a number of major industry bodies and larger fleets, and they rightly demand the highest level of compliance in this area.

“Achieving ISO 27001 provides a strong baseline standard and, alongside the other measures we are undertaking, means that our rapidly-growing client base can rest assured that their information is protected with very high levels of control, auditing and security.”

FleetCheck has gained more than 200 new customers so far this year, bringing the total to more than 800.
