Amber Assist has teamed up with VisionTrack to enhance its service offering to car and van fleets, providing CCTV and video telematics systems as part of its accident management solution.

VisionTrack’s IoT platform will be integrated with Amber Assist’s internal systems, so the company’s response team will have access to video footage and supporting data to assist with its First Notification of Loss (FNOL) managed service.

Real-time FNOL alerts will be received at Amber Assist’s UK response centre, so an agent will be able to take action within seconds of a road collision occurring and immediately view what has happened.

Meanwhile, driver behaviour data will also be used to better manage fleet risk on behalf of the company’s customers.

Amber Assist’s director Ian Ambrose (pictured) said: “Our partnership with Vision Track will enable us to provide added value to our fleet customers as part of our one-stop-shop accident management solution,”

“The connected vehicle cameras will provide our response centre with real-time visibility over all collisions and driving events to help them achieve clear insurance savings, avoid operational downtime and improve road safety.”

VisionTrack’s commercial director Richard Lane said: “Our connected vehicle cameras, underpinned by an award-winning IoT platform, offer a proven way of protecting vehicles, staff, profitability and reputation.

“As a result, we are working with an increasing number of industry specialists, such as Amber Assist, to develop fleet solutions that deliver measurable results and ROI.

"We look forward to working closely with Amber Assist moving forward to take advantage of their accident management expertise.”
