ERM Advanced Telematics has announced that it is expanding its efforts to penetrate the global car-sharing market through a range of new risk minimising products.

It is targeting the car-sharing market by supplying companies with telematics products from its StarLink products line, that aim to minimise risk.

ERM Advanced Telematics’ chief marketing officer Eitan Kirshenboim (pictured) said: “Car sharing companies operate in a high risk environment. Minimising these risks while creating a comfortable experience for the subscribers are vital for these companies, and this is exactly what ERM offers.”

The solution allows car sharing companies to identify subscribers and permit them to drive a car at a given time or immobilize a vehicle to prevent any unauthorised use.

Another requirement of car sharing companies is to monitor how drivers actually use the vehicles. In this regard, ERM has developed an advanced driver behavior monitoring system, enabling technical and driver activity monitoring.

By using these systems, ERM provides car sharing companies with real-time information on the condition of the vehicle, as well as of the driver.
