Jaama will be showcasing its new Maintenance Exchange platform and a new driver pool vehicle booking portal module for its Key2 system at Fleet Live 2019.

The new ‘end to end’ maintenance and compliance platform system allows booking, authorisation, invoicing and auditing of vehicle maintenance work.

It connects fleet management companies or end-user fleets to maintenance suppliers, says Jaama, reducing the administrative burden of manual processes.

It also integrates with Jaama’s Key2 asset management system and can interface with other third party systems.

Critically, for commercial vehicle end-user fleets, Maintenance Exchange also enables them to collect information for the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) Earned Recognition Scheme that monitors fleet compliance data.

Martin Evans (pictured), managing director of Jaama, said: “Development of Maintenance Exchange enables fleet and transport managers to centralise their view of all compliance data and documentation, which is exactly what they want and need.

“Maintenance Exchange also enables fleets to implement service level agreements with their vehicle maintenance suppliers to further improve document delivery without manual intervention.

“Businesses are recognising the benefits of digitalising documentation. As a consequence, Maintenance Exchange further enables fleets to embrace technology to drive administration and operational efficiencies as we move ever-closer to a paperless business environment.”

In terms of the new driver pool vehicle booking portal module for its Key2 system, fleets that use Jaama’s Key2 asset management system, and have pool vehicles within their operations, are able to use the portal to encourage drivers to go online and book a pool car or van for a specific journey. The self-help portal then asks drivers a number of questions about the booking with all information fed back into Key2.

Evans said: “Amid concerns about employees driving their own vehicles on business trips, launch of Key2 Pool Vehicle Booking System is designed to make booking a pool vehicle as easy as possible for drivers and simultaneously banish ‘grey fleet’ usage.”

Having accessed the Key2 Pool Vehicle Booking System, drivers can make a booking for a specific journey and subsequently view and amend if necessary. Additionally, employees with the appropriate permission, can book pool vehicles on behalf of colleagues.

The official launch of Key2 Pool Vehicle Booking System will take place at Fleet Live 2019 being held at the NEC Birmingham, tomorrow (Tuesday, October 8) and Wednesday (October 9).

Visitors to the Jaama stand (H32) will also be able to see Maintenance Exchange demonstrated at the show on the Jaama stand.
