Manheim Auction Services and Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions (HCVS) are hosting an exclusive online event on Friday, July 10, featuring cars and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).

The event will see two sales including a morning event with a range of executive, high-performance and prestige cars, and an afternoon sale featuring a minimum of 50 HGVs.

Registered bidders can browse the vehicles on the Manheim website before participating in the two online auctions.

Roger Holder, remarketing manager at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, said: “Despite new car production being significantly down this year, there will be a requirement for people to replace vehicles. We expect there to be an increased demand for used cars in the coming months and hosting the event online will be a great indicator of how we can adapt.

“We have enjoyed a unique partnership with Manheim for over twenty years and are always pleased with how events like these perform.”

He continued: “We’re excited to trial this new format to showcase some quality prestige cars and hand-picked commercial vehicles.”

A small number of vehicle viewings at HCVS HQ will also be available to book prior to auction, where full social distancing measures will be implemented to ensure both buyer and employee safety.

The sales event is the latest addition to Manheim’s increased online auction programme – with sales events being added to its auction calendar weekly.

Manheim also recently announced a new support package for customers including waiving Simulcast fees until further notice and free QuickList Imagery to help make it easier to buy online.

James Leese, chief customer officer at Cox Automotive, said: “Activity on our Simulcast auctions has been very positive over the last few weeks, with most vehicles meeting their reserve price and conversion rates exceeding expectations.

“We are looking forward to working with HCVS to deliver this exclusive online event.”
