Fleet manufacturers, suppliers and operators have been "absolutely vital in our response to Covid", said Baroness Vere as she welcomed attendees to our Virtual Fleet & Mobility event this morning.

The three-day event started this morning at 9am with a recorded welcome from the Baroness.

She also said: "The fleet industry continues to be the beating heart of the UK's economy, driving productivity and remaining at the leading edge of our decarbonisation and mobility agendas."

Baroness Vere of Norbiton was appointed as a parliamentary under secretary of state at the Department for Transport on 23 April 2019. She was previously a government whip (Baroness in Waiting) from December 2016 to July 2019.
