LeasePlan UK has struck a five-year remarketing services agreement with long-term partners BCA.

The agreement, which is for a minimum of five years, will see BCA provide a full range of services, including inventory management, driver sales, inspect and collect logistics and remarketing.

Over the next five years, BCA will solely defleet, inventory manage and remarket vehicles for LeasePlan UK.

BCA’s UK commercial director, Matt Bristow, said: “We are delighted to have secured this major agreement with one of our longest standing corporate customers.”

He continued: “BCA is passionate about delivering full end-to-end remarketing services, which bring innovation, digitalisation with enhanced customer service attributes which create long term financial and operational efficiencies.

“This significant deal with LeasePlan UK underlines that BCA is creating the most efficient, sustainable and profitable vehicle exchange with the capacity to meet the growing needs of the leasing sector.”

LeasePlan revealed in the autumn that it had closed its used car UK CarNext operation.

LeasePlan launched its CarNext.com used car platform in the UK in 2018, allowing drivers to buy, lease or finance its ex-fleet cars.

However, the leasing company told Fleet News in October that it had closed the UK business, including its delivery store in Milton Keynes.

Commenting on the BCA deal, LeasePlan UK’s MD, Alfonso Martinez, said: “Together, we are in a stronger position to provide our customers with the best service and value, create synergies across all our end-of-contract processes, and further strengthen the high-quality used car market in the UK.”
