Driving school BSM has added 200 new Peugeot 208 models to its fleet and is expected to order an additional 750 models this year.

Peugeot has supplied BSM with approximately 4,000 cars since it became the company’s vehicle supplier in 2015.

Robert Cowell, interim managing director of BSM, said: “We frequently update our fleet to offer the best choice for instructors and are delighted to add the latest version of the Peugeot 208. The new models have gone down well with instructors and it is a modern, comfortable car for pupils to learn in.”

The new 208 models are all specified in Allure Premium trim and feature 16-inch alloy wheels, a 3D digital instrument cluster and climate control.

Julie David, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our work with BSM and be able to provide their fleet with some of the latest offerings in our range. BSM have played an instrumental role over the past century in getting Brits out onto our roads, and we are thrilled with the positive reception that our models have received from BSM customers and instructors.”

The Peugeot 208 was named European Car of the Year 2020 and also received the Fleet News Best Small Car Award in 2020.

Peugeot revealed a new brand identity and launched a new logo last week, which celebrates its heritage and signals a shift upmarket.

The first car to wear the badge will be the new 308, which is expected to launch next year.
