SMH Fleet Solutions has received the RoSPA Gold award for high standards of health and safety across its five sites in the UK.

Marcus Walker, group safety, health, environment and quality manager at SMH Fleet Solutions, says the award is “fantastic recognition” for the hard work of its teams across the UK.

“The wellbeing of our people is a priority for the company, and we undertake extensive training and rigorous audits to ensure that standards are exemplary,” he said.

RoSPA says its Gold Award winners have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

SMH Fleet Solutions is training all its technicians to ensure they are qualified to work on the latest EV technologies. Technicians receive an IMI qualification at the end of the course, which provides in-depth knowledge and practical experience in this specialised industry sector.

SMH Fleet Solutions says that it will enable vehicle maintenance and repair technicians to continue to work safely on any electric vehicle (EV) and offer the capability to work on any high voltage components and systems.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.”

SMH Fleet Solutions is a provider of new vehicle, in-life, remarketing, salvage and logistic services to the fleet market.
