The annual Fleet Europe Awards, held on December 6 at the Casino in Estoril, Portugal celebrated winners and marked Fleet Europe Magazine’s 20th anniversary.
The 11th awards saw 800 attendees and a new award given.
The new recognition of Global Fleet Manager of the Year was awarded to Juergen Freitag head of global fleet management at Siemens AG
Other major awards went to Peter Szelenyi, global fleet category manager and regional travel category manager Region Europe at Novartis, who won the 2017 European Fleet Manager of the Year Award.
Tim Albertsen, deputy chief executive at ALD S.A., was selected as this year's inductee into the International Fleet Hall of Fame by the online votes of the European fleet community.
The winners for 2017:

- International Fleet Safety Award: Heineken
- International Fleet Mobility Award: Accenture
- International Fleet Innovation Award: SAP
- Smart Mobility Start-Up Award: Parkd
- International Fleet Industry Award: Tesla Autopilot
- International Fleet Hall of Fame Award: Tim Albertsen, group deputy chief executive at ALD S.A.
