Sixt’s new flexible and all-inclusive car subscription service, Sixt+, has been officially launched with packages starting at £399 per month.

The multinational rental company revealed plans for the service to Fleet News in July, with global sales director Stuart Donnelly promising a “low-cost alternative to leasing”.

Unlike leasing, customers do not have to commit to years of finance; the contract can be cancelled monthly by returning the vehicle with no penalty charge.

Everything is included except fuel and the cars are available within a few days at Sixt locations.

The service, booked and managed via the Sixt+ app, is only available on cars, although Sixt has seen huge growth in its van fleet and doesn’t rule out adding light commercials at a later stage.

Commenting on the official launch, Sixt’s UK managing director UK Tim Vetters said:  “Sixt is emerging from the Coronavirus crisis thoughtfully, but also with vitality and determination.

“Our new Sixt+ offer is a logical response to society’s changing mobility needs.

"With Sixt+, we are optimally expanding our portfolio of flexible rental offers and the service via our app.”
