Alphabet GB named Top Employer for eighth year running

Alphabet (GB) has been awarded the 2021 UK Top Employer Certification for the eighth consecutive year.

The award is presented to employers who demonstrate excellence in employee conditions, develop talent at all levels and strive to continuously enhance their employment strategy, through progressive, ‘people-first’ HR practices.

The Top Employers Institute assessed Alphabet’s approach in HR strategy and people management and as a result, awarded Alphabet the Top Employer UK 2021 Certification.

The Top Employers Institute assesses participants through a global HR Best Practices Survey and organisations must successfully achieve required standards in a number of key areas in order to be certified.

The survey encompasses more than 100 questions, which cover six HR domains across 20 topics including: people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion.

Top Employers Institute CEO, David Plink, said: “Despite the challenging year we have experienced, Alphabet has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace.

“We are proud to share this year’s announcement and congratulate the organisations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute programme.”

Nick Brownrigg, CEO, Alphabet (GB), said the leasing company was “delighted” to have won the UK’s Top Employer award for the eighth year in a row.

“This accolade feels even more important this year, as it recognises how Alphabet has evolved to stay one step ahead, during this particularly testing time,” he said.

“The working world has changed as we know it and despite some unique challenges, we’ve worked incredibly hard to support our employees and ensure our people are put first in everything we do.

“They remain our most important resource and it is due to their incredible commitment and hard work that, even during a global pandemic, we have been able to continue the high level of service our customers have come to expect.

“This award is a testament to each and every person working across our business and the personal contribution and significant value they add every day.”
