7 Lexus RX 450h L

Lexus has unveiled the RX L, its new seven seat hybrid SUV.

Priced from £50,995, the new model boasts a 308PS output with CO2 emissions of 136g/km.

It shares the same self-charging hybrid powertrain as the five-seat RX, but benefits from a revised body extended from the rear axle to make extra space for the additional seats.

Comfort and convenience are further addressed by a power-folding system for the third row seats and triple-zone climate control being provided as standard on all versions of the RX L.

The powertrain mates a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with an electric motor giving a 0-60mph acceleration time of eight seconds and combined mpg figure of 47.9.

Boot space is boosted by the additional 110mm length to 996 litres with the seats folded and 495 litres with the seats in place.

Three trims are available: SE, Luxury and Premier. All models feature adaptive cruise control, satnav and heated sets.

Luxury models cost £54,095 and boast a larger infotainment screen, larger alloy wheels and LED headlights.

The range topping Premier (£61,995) is equipped with a head up display, premium audio system and 360-degree camera system.
