New MG ZS EV electric car offers 163-mile range

MG Motor UK’s first electric car will offer a 163-mile range and an on-the-road price from £28,495 before incentives.

Based on the ZS, ZS EV features a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack which powers an electric motor with 143PS and 353Nm of torque.

It is available with MG Pilot, which includes advanced emergency braking, blindspot monitoring, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

An infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen features satellite navigation, Andriod Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth phone connectivity and digital radio.

The car will qualify for the Government’s £3,500 plug-in car grant. MG will match this for the first 1,000 retail customers, lowering the price to £21,495.

MG will also supply a free home charging point and standard installation to the first 1,000 retail customers.
