Renault's new Master E-Tech has a WLTP range of up to 255 miles, making it among the most capable electric vehicles in its segment.

The van was developed with optimal aerodynamics in mind. Renault said the new Master's “aerovan” shaped body and new braking system provides consumption savings of 21%

In the UK market, the van is equipped with an 87kWh battery and a 143PS motor, enabling it to travel 255 miles between charges.

The Master E-Tech electric provides a 1,625Kg payload capacity (in a van requiring a B-category driving licence) and can tow 2.5 tonnes. Its consumption is rated at 2.9mi/kWh (WLTP) with the 87 kWh battery.

A 130kW DC fast charge can add 156 miles of range in 30 minutes. A 22kW AC charger tops up the battery from 10% to 100% in less than four hours.

As before, the Master will also be offered with a choice of internal combustion engines.

The new Master E-Tech will be available to order in spring 2024.
